Chard Rock

  • Berkeley Farmer's Market Downtown 2216 Martin Luther King Jr Way Berkeley, CA, 94704 United States (map)

Celebrate the springtime and come ‘turnip the beet’ at Chard Rock: A Farmers’ Market Springtime Concert! Join us at the Downtown Berkeley Farmers’ Market on Saturday March 21st, 2026 for music, food, drinks, and fun under the sun. Our programming for the day features performances by talented local musicians. Kids can enjoy our art and play area featuring fun games, activities, and art supplies, while the adults shop for snacks and groceries from all our amazing local farmers and vendors. The Ecology Center will also be selling limited edition Chard Rock Farmers’ Market tees, so we can all remember and cherish this special celebration. The festivities begin at 10am and run all the way until we close at 2:30pm.

We will also be joined by Fibershed which promotes a new regional textile economy with deep roots in climate change prevention and soil restoration. Wool, alpaca, cotton, hemp, flax and the plants to naturally dye them are all grown and processed in our Northern California bioregion. Come to the Chard Rock celebration at the Downtown Berkeley Farmers’ Market on Saturday, March 21st  to learn more.

Indulge your creative urges by eco printing some locally produced fabric with farmers’ market vegetable by-products. (Activity available while supplies last.) Integrity Alpacas will be selling naturally dyed yarn, crocheted items and wool pellets to enrich your garden soil.
