Weaving with a Schacht Zoom Loom: Turkey Project

  • The Barn & Pantry 125 West A Street Dixon, CA, 95620 United States (map)

Introduction to the Schacht Zoom Loom

Join this class to learn the basics for creating cool projects on the Schacht Zoom Loom. Our first project together involves making 4 basic squares and stitching them together to make this cute turkey decoration. Imagine greeting the family Thanksgiving meal with a turkey on each plate! You can even personalize each for your guests!

This class is taught by Charlene Schmid of Integrity Alpacas & Fiber, and will be held at The Barn & Pantry in Dixon from 6-7pm. Given the hour class, each participant will be provided instructions for turkey assembly at home, or may join the Handworker’s Gathering between 6-8PM on November 7th at not cost.

In addition to the class fee of $25.00, materials required for the class includes

  • purchase of a Schacht Zoom Loom either at the time of registration, and I will bring it to our class, or you may purchase it from our local distributor, Meridian Jacobs. The cost of the Schacht Zoom Loom is $39 plus tax.

  • purchase, or gather from the craft box, fingering or sport weight yarn. Feel free to practice making squares with any light-weight yarn handy. Mini-mini skeins of yarn will be available for purchase at the time of class for $4 each. You may choose from a variety of natural colored yarns from the herd at Integrity Alpacas & Fiber. Mini-mini skeins are pre-measured, generously, to make 3 squares.
