The Black Knight Scabiosa was grown, harvested and dried on the ranch!
This is a limited quantity item as each lot of dying can yield differing colors. This lot is made from our 100% Alpaca yarn, 3-ply DK weight in a 200 yard skein. This yarn will make your project squishy and warm!
To extract the color from the flowers, they are boiled and then strained. Next, the yarn is hand dyed by overnight immersion. I added a dash of iron to the pot to enhance the light fastness and deepen the color.
